It’s seems odd to me that in every aspect of life we all have beliefs and many times it does matter what someone thinks, but when it comes to religion many want to take the stand that one faith is as good as another and that we are all going to be saved so “join the church of your choice”. It should perturb you too. Christ came to save the lost; therefore, there is such position that one can be in called lost, meaning needing help, needing a savior. The devil has used his tools to get people to believe everyone will be saved, faith only, one’s as good as another, and even that any church will do. He’s been good at convincing this to people, which is why it is important to understand it does matters what you believe and where you attend worship services. Our faith is crucial; there is ONLY one way to get to Heaven.
one standard
There is an objective standard, ONE that NEVER changes, the Bible. It is possible to believe a lie and be lost, just like one can be religious and be wrong, because there is an objective standard. It all goes back to the standard and the authority. Just as Eve believed Satan’s lie, but was cursed (her soul eternally lost) because she believed the lie. Another example is Cain and Abel. They were both attempting to worship God correctly, but Cain’s was still wrong (Gen 4:3-5; Heb 11:4). Israel worshipped other gods and were NOT allowed to enter the promised land. Just by these few examples you can see there is ONE right faith. If there wasn’t a standard/one way, they would not have been punished.
one faith
Eph 4:4-6 lets us know that there is ONE faith. There is no such thing as “my faith,” “your faith,” or different faiths.” There is “THE faith!” Faith is always mentioned in the Bible as singular. If 50 people can believe in 50 different beliefs and it be acceptable, then it’s acceptable for one person to believe or have 50 different beliefs. (Donnie Radar) If it’s not acceptable that means one person can only have one religious’ belief, so it needs to be the right one! Radar put it this way, “We believe it makes a difference what one believes in religion because of the absurd consequences of thinking otherwise.” If you say that one person believing in 50 religions is absurd or doesn’t make sense, then it only makes sense to conclude that it does matter what you believe because one faith is NOT just as good as another.
narrow path
It does make a difference what you believe, and one faith is NOT just as good as another because there is a standard (the Bible). God has paved ONE way to get to Heaven, His way (John 24:6), the narrow way (Matt 7:13-14), and we must follow it, otherwise we are wrong. Those that believe a lie will perish as 2 Thess 2:10-12 confirms. We don’t want to perish so let’s examine ourselves and make sure we [Attain to 1335] (Dan 12:12) on the narrow path.
